Sometimes the best way to see a neighborhood is on foot and there is lots to see near The Century. Each year one day in September is set aside to encourage people to avoid using cars and try walking or cycling instead. World Car Free Day aims to take the heat off the planet for just one day by encouraging people to be less dependent on automobiles. We think this is a great idea and a good way to get to know our amazing neighborhood.
For starters, there are numerous restaurants, lots of shopping and parks within walking distance of The Century. With a Walk Score of 97 out of 100, The Century is considered 'A Walkers Paradise' and daily errands don't require a car. It's an easy walk to the Seattle Center, The Space Needle, downtown Seattle, the waterfront, Queen Anne and South Lake Union. Living at The Century puts you in the heart of it all. You can even grab a ride on the monorail if you need a break from walking.
So take a break from your car - when you live at The Century your feet can get you where you need to go!
